Pinnick to become CAF vice-president
Nigeria Football Federation President Amaju Pinnick may be named as Confederation of African Football’s 1st vice-president next month. The Warri-born football administrator will get the juicy position in CAF’s next meeting in Morocco in August if current Vice President Kwesi Nyataki elects to join the FIFA Council. Nyataki who is also the Ghana FA President cannot hold two positions. This latest development comes after the new CAF reforms adopted in the General Assembly in Morocco this month.
“The Ghana FA boss has two options, either to move to FIFA Council or retain his position as CAF vice-president. If Nyataki decides to move to FIFA then Pinnick will be named the CAF vice-president,” a source revealed.
