Right now we’ve got few indigenous Yoruba rapper in the industry still keeping the Yoruba indigenous Yoruba rap game alive from Olamide, Reminisce, Dharsaw, Obadice, Lil–kesh, Oladips, Davolee etc. this guys have done their best to match up to the standard set by the Late Yoruba Rapper Dagrin and I believed you guys will agree with me on this.
Indigenous Rap in Nigeria has growned and metamorphosed from the days of Ikechukwu, LordofAjasa, and Nigga Raw to present day serious street rap. The Nigeria music market is very hungry and most times it is difficult for artistes to please their fans. The definition of rap is all about lyrics, delivery and above all the ability to connect with your audience.
Sauce A.K.A the Rap Man as he is fondly called by his fans to me is the new kid on the block and I strongly believe he is here to stay and take over the indigenous Rap game. Sauce who was ranked the second best upcoming act in Lagos state university (LASU) in the Top 20 artist in Lasu 2016 which was compiled by bloggers and Dj’s of the institution. The versatile rapper with 2 massive hits Alakada and and his latest track which garner 2000 downloads on alone within 2 days of release. One can say Sauce has a lot to offer in the industry. When I heard , I was confused judging by his lyrical content, delivery and dope punch lines one can compare BURST to Olamide EyanMayweather. I must confess BURST is Eyan Mayweather Part 2. Burst delivery was dope and I’m not doubting Sauce because he has shown to the world that he is a good artiste releasing three songs with great and good comments from all music lovers……
Just like his name Sauce hez gat too much Sauce for his fans.
From your point of view, Do you guys think Sauce is about to take over the indigenous Yoruba rap scene?
