Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola has clarified that striker, Sergio Aguero will not leave the club this summer.
Aguero, who is City’s highest goalscorer, has been heavily linked with a return to Atletico Madrid.
But Guardiola has insisted that the Argentine international is not going to leave the Etihad this summer.
Gaurdiola told reporters at Friday’s press conference, “I think it’s not going to happen.
“My desire? I think it’s not going to happen, but I don’t know.
“Last season I was asked many time and I said Sergio is going to stay until he decides his time here is over.
“I said it last season, I said this season and I say that today. But in football you know.”
Guardiola’s side are currently on 97 points on the Premier League table and could reach 100 points this season if they beat Southampton in Sunday’s last Premier League fixture.
Despite being crowned champions of England Aguero might be looking to go back to his former club Atletico Madrid just like Torres and Diego Costa.
